Alternative or Holistic medicine is a form of healing that considers the whole person, mind, body, spirit, and emotions. Students will explore how aspects of alternative healthcare relate/complement traditional medicine.
Learn Valuable Industry Skills!
This course will include introductions in the following modalities: massage therapy, acupuncture, chiropractic care, Ayurveda, meditation, emotional release therapy, aromatherapy, breath work, chakra balancing, and somatic inquiry.
Professional Certification Opportunities!
Designations offered to students completing the Intro to Alternative Medicine course include
- A Certificate of Competency displaying industry knowledge of alternative medicine and its relation to tradtional medicine

Thank you for your interest in enrolling in the SoCal ROC Intro to Alternative Medicine course.
In order to enroll in the program, students must:
High school
- Open to Grade Levels 9-12th
Adult
- Purchase of solid Turquoise or Teal scrubs ($25 - $40) and solid white nurse’s
shoes or athletic type shoes ($20 - $50)
Purchase (1) White or Off White 3 piece massage table sheet set ($20 - $25)
Complete in 1 Semester: M/W from 4:15pm - 7:00pm
