Thank you for your interest in enrolling in the SoCal ROC Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)/Home Health Aide program.
The passage of SB 1384 (Chapter 847, Statutes of 2014) removes the requirement that certain convictions listed under “ Disqualifying Penal Code Sections” will result in an automatic denial of the certified nurse assistant (CNA) training and examination application (CDPH283B) by the California Department of Public Health (CDPH). The CDPH 283B CNA and 283D CHHA initial applications have not changed and applicants still must list all convictions. The CNA instructor will discuss this information with you on the first day of class.
