Accelerate Your Future at SoCal ROC!

Our Introduction to Barbering course prepares students to complete the 1000 hours of training necessary to take the California State Board barbering examination. In a barber shop enviornment students will receive personal attention and instruction from industry professionals at a fraction of the cost of other schools.

Learn Valuable Industry Skills!

  • One of the most fundamental topics covered is the art of haircutting and styling. Students learn various cutting techniques, including fades, tapers, and classic cuts, all while mastering the use of different tools like scissors, clippers, and razors. This hands-on training ensures that future barbers can cater to a diverse clientele with confidence and finesse.

Another crucial area of focus is facial grooming and shaving. Barbering students are taught the intricacies of beard trimming, straight razor shaves, and maintaining proper skin care. This includes understanding the different types of facial hair and skin, as well as learning how to provide a relaxing and hygienic shave. These skills are essential for creating a polished and professional look, which is a cornerstone of the barbering profession.

Our barbering course also dives into the business side of things, equipping students with knowledge about managing a barbershop. This includes lessons on customer service, marketing, and financial management. By understanding the ins and outs of running a business, barbers can not only excel in their craft but also thrive as entrepreneurs. This comprehensive education ensures that graduates are well-prepared to enter the workforce and make their mark in the ever-evolving world of barbering.
