Instruction for students to develop an understanding of mechanical and electrical systems through project-based experiences in residential and commercial, ventilation, and air conditioning systems. This course covers the theory of refrigeration evacuation and charging methods. Emphasis is placed on the basic theories and applications of electricity/thermodynamics including the operational, troubleshooting, and maintenance techniques used for heating systems. Instruction to ensure students to will gain knowledge in electric circuits and controls, installation of HVAC systems, electrical motors, schematic wiring diagrams, HVAC blueprints, and diagnosis of HVAC problems using meters.

Director of Certified Medical Assisting

CERTIFICATED VACANCY

The Director of Certified Medical Assisting program will oversee the course designed to prepare students to sit for the National Center for Competency Training (NCCT) to become a Certified Medical Assistant and to obtain an entry-level position in a medical office. Will be responsible to ensure the instruction includes clinical skills such as vital signs, assisting with exams and with minor surgery, basic lab procedures, and performing EKGs, monitoring heart arrhythmias, and performing venipuncture, skin puncture, and injections. This will include the administrative skills include receptionist duties, appointment scheduling, and managing patient records. This includes overseeing the externship. Director will be collaborate with the CMA instructor to ensure that the students will be prepared to passing the national exam and students to receive the Certificate of Competency. This Certified Medical Assisting program is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP), on recommendation of the Curriculum Review Board of the American Association of Medical Assistants Endowment (AAMAE). The Director will be responsible to ensure the requirements are met for the renewal of the program and to submit the application for renewal, as needed. one administrative module (414) and an optional afternoon through early evening externship module (461).
