According to a study published in 2022, two years into the COVID-19 pandemic, half of high schoolers are no longer considering four-year college. More than half are open to a path other than four-year college, and because of the pandemic, one-third say they are more comfortable with following a shorter pathway. Despite that, 85 percent say they feel pressure to pursue a four-year degree.
With 73 percent of high school students believing a direct path to a career is essential in postsecondary education, SoCal ROC is the perfect solution for the changing views and needs of those looking for accelerated career pathways.
