Teresa Farquhar
Director of Technology & Operations
Teresa L. Farquhar is a Torrance native. She started her work career in the aerospace industry in the late 70's. While working in aerospace, she was bitten by the Technology bug. She attended California State University Dominguez Hills in the early 80’s where she studied Business Administration and started her own income tax business. As her knowledge and passion for Technology grew, she ultimately changed her major to Computer Science and left aerospace to pursue technology. She secured employment with an El Segundo computer company where she worked as a computer consultant and taught DOS and word processing workshops at night. This experience led to a position at the Southern California Regional Occupational Center in the mid 90’s. A firm believer in lifelong learning, she continued to obtain certifications in technology as well as earning her CBO certification from UC Riverside in the early 00’s. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with family, listening to music, and traveling when she can. She loves playing chess, riding bikes, fishing, horseback riding, and learning new things.
