Field Technician (Full Time)

Job Description:

Follows foreman’s lead on job-specific duties and delivers quality work in a safe and profitable manner. Duties include performing a variety of tasks involving strenuous manual labor waterproofing, caulking, concrete, grinding, coating, and sealant construction projects. Demonstrates responsibility for their ongoing individual safety and that of their work crews. Demonstrates responsibility regarding worksite productivity; from properly preparing to start a job daily to making optimal use of all tools and materials needed. Promotes positive relationships; treating people with dignity, respect & compassion. Maintains a clean job site: picks up all tools and equipment and secures job site each day to eliminate potential hazards. Performs materials handling and storage. Loads and unloads trucks and hauls and lifts materials. Ensures that proper safety and incident reporting procedures are followed. Brings problems to the attention of the Foreman, Safety Manager, or Director of Human Resources. Reviews daily tools & supplies needed for the currently scheduled jobs. Turns in all required paperwork (Including Timecards) in a timely manner. Adheres to all company policies. Embodies and demonstrates the MBW values on a daily basis and in every interaction. Takes pride in producing quality work. Works well within the team environment. Demonstrates a willingness to grow and learn more about the trade, within the company. Protects the name of ‘Mark Beamish Waterproofing’ by being a professional in action, words & wearing uniform proudly. Reports to work on time on a daily basis as specified by Division Manager & Project Manager. Notifies the Division and/or Project Manager in the event of tardiness or absenteeism. Completes other tasks as directed by the Division and/or Project Managers.


Abides and follows MBW policies and procedures as outlined in the employee handbook. Trade training through apprenticeships, college, or trade school preferred. Construction industry experience and/or command of the English language preferred. Valid and appropriate state driver’s license if driving a company vehicle.
