Accelerate Your Future at SoCal ROC!

This course provides high school students an opportunity to receive entry-level extensive hands-on training in the unlicensed field of Dental Assisting.

Our Dental Assisting for high school students is divided into two parts;

1. Dental Assisting (HS students only) 

2. Dental Assisting Career Preparation 

Upon successful completion of this program and graduating from high school, students will have the opportunity to complete a 120 hour externship in a dental office in the South Bay and fulfill the minimum certifications required to work as an unlicensed dental assistant in the State of California!

Learn Valuable Industry Skills!

This course introduces students to Health and Safety (Infection Control) Guidelines and Procedures, Dental Laws and Ethics (California Dental Practice Act), Dental Terminology, Anatomy and Physiology, Microbiology, Preventive Dentistry and preparing materials for Chairside Procedures. 

  • Professional Certification Opportunities!
  • Designations offered to students completing the Registered Dental Assisting program include
  • 1. Dental Radiology Safety Compliance, Dental Practice Act, and Infection Control Certificates
  • 2. The ability to apply for Dental Assisting positions and get paid while they earn their work hours

Employment opportunities include entry-level positions in General Practice Dentistry.

Successful completion of this course will strengthen the student’s ability to continue education in the dental field such as a Registered Dental Assistant in Extended Functions, Hygienist or Doctor of Dental Surgery (D.D.S.).

Thank you for your interest in enrolling in the SoCal ROC Registered Dental Assisting (RDA) program.
The following items are required in order to enroll in the program:

 The first half of the program "Dental Assisting (HS students only) is open to grades 9-12th
 The second half of the program "Dental Assisting Career Preparation" is available to high school seniors only
 Sign a Student Waiver and Release Form
 If 18 yrs old, student will complete dental radiology certification 
 Prior to externship during the summer, student must complete TB testing and vaccines

Complete in two 8 week courses: Monday - Thursday from 4:15pm - 7:00pm
